#14498 x MARCO ENGLAND

Sputtaniamo i giornalisti italiani!

tanti saluti e forza Juve, sempre

cannot be considered 'ethically clean'. Doubly so for a team that needs to cook its books to participate in the league. The court has accepted to hear the case (meaning it has accepted that it sees the merits of the case)
All this is being buried as far as possible by the media and Italian FA fearful that someone could realise that nothing was really done last summer to clean up Italian football, except dumping everything on one scapegoat - Juventus - and continuing as before. Plus ca change...

Napoli and Fiorentina were recently relegated to Serie C for less.
Secondly, last year's title (taken off Juve even though Juve weren't even accused of anything for 05-06), was assigned to Inter this summer (by an ex-Inter-director, no less) on the basis that they were 'ethically clean'. A group of lawyers from Naples has taken this matter to court, justly claiming that a team who's director of sports (Oriali) is guilty of obtaining a false passport for Recoba to be able to play as an EU player

Just this week it was found out that Inter's financial deficit in 05-06, rather than the declared 30M odd euros, was actually 181M. This was covered up by the (fraudulent) accounting trick of 'selling' their image rights to a subsidiary (ie to themselves), which actually means pushing the debt around in their books without actually receiving any real money. By league rules, without this cover-up, they wouldn't even have been allowed to participate in this year's league.
